Our client is a Portland-based third party logistics firm that provides transportation logistics solutions to a few specialized industries. While they concentrate primarily on several key markets, this firm also offers freight brokerage services to all markets and industries both domestically and internationally. They are looking for an outside sales rep with experience in the logistics industry to build and manage business in Oregon, Washington, Northern California and Idaho. This is a smaller company where each employee is provided plenty of autonomy, so self-motivation is a required quality of the person that steps into this role.
The right candidate for this position will be someone who is heavily self-motivated, with experience in outside sales in third party logistics. This role is heavily focused on new business, so this person must be both a strong prospector and a proven closer. There is a great deal of opportunity for financial and professional growth within this small company, and plenty of freedom to expand business in any way you see fit.
- 2-10 years sales experience in the logistics industry
- Proven track record of success
- $55k-70k base salary plus commission; total compensation year one is $80-100k
