Account Manager- Government

Our client is a distributor of mechanical equipment such as tanks, hoses, and nozzles. In this role you’ll be inheriting an existing book of business, selling primarily to State, Federal, and local government accounts in the Portland metro area. Your main duty will be to manage existing accounts, but there are also opportunities for new business growth. The product line involves a high SKU count so experience managing larger product lines is desirable. This is a well established company with an excellent reputation in the industry.


  • Previous experience selling to government, preferably to fire departments and/or work experience in firefighting
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Ability to proactively manage and grow accounts
  • Experience managing high SKU counts
  • Able to accommodate up to 50% travel


  • $50k+ base salary; $70k-90k year one total compensation
  • $80k-90k total comp year two
